Safer Internet Action Day 2024
This year HFJNS ran a Safer Internet Action Day to raise awareness of online safety with the children.
Our core messages for the day were:
- Be kind online
- Stop, close and tell if they are unsure or scared by something online and
- Don't talk/give personal details to strangers online
As part of this, the children took part in a range of activities.
These included a paired iPad activity where JI & 1st Class and SI and 2nd Class collaborated on creating a Pic Collage about Internet Safety, a school assembly, Internet Safety board games, an Internet Safety Kahoot quiz and colouring activities.
The children learnt a simple rap which they performed in the hall also.
We held a webinar for parents hosted by Computing at Schools in the evening and were delighted to see that so many could make it.
Working together we can help to keep the children safe while connected to the internet!
